Yellow River Mouth

Looking like lines on an Etch A Sketch, ship tracks of disturbed seafloor sediments indicate heavy human usage of China's Bohai Sea around the Yellow River delta in the above Landsat 8 image collected on November 9, 2020. The environmental modification is even more pronounced in the aquaculture, industry, and agriculture patterns on the landward side of the image. Diagonal bands in the upper right corner are caused by aerosols in the sky between the water's surface and the orbiting Landsat spacecraft.
