The above Aqua/MODIS image collected on June 10, 2019 shows what appear to be surface slicks off the coast of Nova Scotia. At the time of this publication researchers were still searching for a positive sea level identification of the source of the streaks. The suggestion in the above paper is that these could be aggregations of jellies at the ocean's surface.
