In the 2022 Ocean Color Reprocessing (R2022), data from the ADEOS-I Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner (OCTS) underwent significant updates to enhance consistency, accuracy, and compatibility with other ocean color missions. As part of this reprocessing, OCTS data products were refined using improved calibration approaches, updated atmospheric correction algorithms, and the latest bio-optical models to ensure better retrievals of ocean color parameters. These updates align OCTS products with the broader R2022 framework, facilitating cross-mission comparisons and long-term climate studies.
From this reprocessing onward, L1A data has been converted from HDF5 to netCDF4, with L2 and L3 data products generated using the reformatted L1As.
