New MODIS/Aqua Ocean Products
The standard product suite for MODIS/Aqua will not be changed for this reprocessing. However, several new products have been incorporated into the Multi-Sensor Level-1 to Level-2 (MSL12) processing code, and others have had major overhaul to generalize them for multiple sensor use. These non-standard products are made avaiable for community evaluation. The MSL12 code has also been substantially restructured to improve maintainability and portability. The new code and or updated product suite will be included in the next SeaDAS release. Major product updates or additions include:
- flh, fluorescence line height
- cfe, chlorophyll fluorescence efficiency
- Support for 678nm channel (e.g., nLw_678, tau_678, etc.)
- chl_carder, chlorophyll concentration
- a_nnn_carder, total absorption at sensor wavelength nnn
- bb_nnn_carder, total backscatter at sensor wavelength nnn
- bbp_nnn_carder, particulate backscatter at sensor wavelength nnn
