Clear water, Deep water and Coastal Analyses

The clear water analysis consists of plots of water-leaving radiance means for clear water, as defined by depths greater than 1 km and chlorophyll concentrations less than 0.15 mg/m3.

    Operational Reprocessing #4

The deep water analysis is analogous to th clear water analysis without the constraint on chlorophyll.

    Operational Reprocessing #4

Mean chlorophyll concentrations for the clear- and deep-water analyses.

    Operational Reprocessing #4

Mean chlorophyll concentrations for the coastal waters (less than 1 km in depth)

    Operational Reprocessing #4

Regional Analyses

In addition to the global analyses presented above, regional analyses were performed. The Pacific ocean was divided into 8 subregions, and a time series of the radiances and chlorophyll concentration in each region were plotted. The figure below illustrates each region.
