In situ Validation of OCTS
by Sean Bailey - Futuretech Corporation
Due to the short lifespan of the ADEOS platform, the number of in situ validation points for OCTS is limited. The data archived in SeaBASS that cover the time period of OCTS measurements were augmented by in situ measurements provided by NASDA. These combined data sets resulted in a final validation set of 35 points (at 490 nm). The table below show the results for 412, 443, 490, 520, and 565 nm as well as chlorophyll a.

nLw 412 nm | 1.869 | 1.955 | 1.046 | 23 | 0.129 - 2.014 | 0.379 - 1.703 |
