On December 3, 2020, the VIIRS instruments on both Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20 captured a view of Iceberg A-68A floating near South Georgia Island while phytoplankton blooms colored the surrounding ocean. The above image is a composite of data from both VIIRS instruments. Click on it to get a larger version showing the relationship to South America and the Antarctic ice front. |
