Surface Aggregations off Nova Scotia

The above Landsat 8 image collected on June 10, 2019 shows what appear to be surface slicks off the coast of Nova Scotia. At the time of this publication researchers were still searching for a positive sea level identification of the source of the streaks. The suggestion in the above paper is that these could be aggregations of jellies at the ocean's surface.
