Kura River Plume

The Kura River runs from Turkey, through Georgia, then into Azerbaijan before discharging into the southern Caspian Sea. On March 9, 2020, the river was producing a plume of green, phytoplankton-rich water that Caspian-Sea currents streched and swirled into the pattern you see in the above Landsat 8 image.
