The Bay of Fundy

Extending northeastward from the Gulf of Maine, the Bay of Fundy has a length and shape that amplifies its tidal ranges to some of the largest seen on Planet Earth. Much of the turbidity seen in the above Landsat 8 image is a result of the huge volumes of water that rush into and out of the bay every day. The image was collected on September 19, 2019.
