Blooms around the Falkland (a.k.a. Malvinas) Islands

It's mid spring, and phytoplankton bloom in the Argentine Sea around the Falkland Islands. Meanwhile one can still see abundant sea ice flanking the Antarctic peninsula in the larger image linked above.
