Northeast Atlantic Spring Bloom

As it does every year, the spring bloom has once again returned tothe North Atlantic. These blooms are arguably important events in Earth's biosphere, and yet, as stated in a recent paper on this phenomenon, "there remains little consensus as tothe environmental and ecological conditions required to initiate high-latitude spring blooms."
