Hi,

I am using the NOMAD data and following O'Reilly et al. 2000 (T/M Vol 11) to determine the OC4v6 coefficients. In previous posts of the forum it was mentioned that some cruise campaigns are excluded, which are these cruises?

Greetings.  We excluded the Palmer Antarctic data set and cruises associated with hypoxia/red tide studies.  Easiest way to identify the latter is to search for cruise names that include 'hypoxia', 'rt', and 'eco'.  Hope this helps.

Best,

  Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the info. Is the final dataset (excluding the hypoxia, red tide, palmer cruises, cubic spline interpolated Rrs, fluorometric chl if HPLC chla missing, etc) used to get the OC4.v6 coefficients available anywhere?

Regards,
Puneeta

Hi Puneeta,

We're currently writing a manuscript that details the process for calculating the NASA OC algorithms. Once it is ready it will have all the processing information you're looking for, but in the meantime, aside from following the steps already mentioned, we don't have a copy ready to send out. Thanks for your patience.
