SeaDAS Data Processing Users,

This announcement is to inform you of  several updates to the data processing tools (OCSSW).  Included in this update are bug fixes and feature updates to both the processing binaries and support scripts provided with SeaDAS.  These changes include (but are not limited to) the following:

l2gen:
support for the modification to the Reynolds Daily Optimally Interpolated SST ancillary input data
bug fix for Sentinel-2 MSI that affected southern hemisphere data
support for the upcoming MODIS SST reprocessing (NOTE: yes, this means we're getting ready for a mission-long reprocessing for MODIS SST )

l1aextract_viirs:
corrected issue with extraction of L1A JPSS1 data

l3mapgen:
improved support for images with transparency

getanc.py:
improvements to minimize connections to  ocean color data servers
improvements to local sqlite database updating

These updates may be applied with the SeaDAS GUI by selecting "Update Data Processors" from the top-level OCSSW menu or manually using the install_ocssw.py script

Regards,
The SeaDAS Development Team
