Description:The Output Display Function provides the capability of outputting PNG, Postscript or Postscript Dump image formats to an output disk file. The entire displayed window or a region may be output. A color bar may also be appended to the output image. 24 bit true color image output should select PNG 24 Bit TrueColor as output file type.

Description: The Image Display option of the Output Setup Widget provides the capability of outputting the contents of the main windows, viewable portion of the main window, roam window or zoom windows to Postscript,Postscript Dump or PNG format files. A region within any of these windows can also be specified. This widget is activated by selecting the Functions->Output-Binary option in the Display Window Widget and then selecting Type->Image Display.
Output Source Section:

| Frame Buffer | The display window number containing the image to output. The output setup widget does not need to be opened for every display window. |
Options for All Output File Types Section:
| Output File Name | It is not necessary to input an output file name. If left blank, an intelligent default will be created. | ||||||||
| Window | The
window to output for the selected frame buffer. The options are:

| Region | The
region for output within the window specified.

| Color Bar | Add
or exclude a color bar to the PNG or Postscript file.

| Color Bar Background | Select dark or light background for color bar to get better viewing contrast. | ||||||||
| Image Title | Write title for picture output. | ||||||||
| Image Subtitle | Write subtitle for picture output. | ||||||||
| Image Footnote | Write footnote for picture output. | ||||||||
| File Type | The display output file type. The options are: Postscript, Postscript Dump, PNG or PNG 24 bit TrueColor (only use with 24 bit truecolor images). The Postscript Dump option will simply dump the window contents to a postscript file. The Postscript option will redraw the annotation objects at postscript resolution. See the postscript option descriptions below. | ||||||||

Options for Postscript Section:
| Title | The title for the postscript file. (Default is <product name> : <file name>) |
| Orientation | Portrait or Landscape toggle. |
| Color option | Color or Greyscale toggle. |
| PostScript type | Non-Encapsulated or Encapsulated toggle. |
The following four items will automatically be calculated to center the selected image on the postscript page according to the paper orientation selected. They should not need to be modified.
