Seadisp Landmask Function (landmask)

Description: For all navigable file types, this function adds land mask graphics on the current or a specified window.  The file used for this function is the same file ($SEADAS/data/landmask.dat) used in the SeaWiFS L2 processing.  The resolution of this file is 128 points per degree (about 900 meters near equator).

Command mode:

Usage:landmask, fbuf=fbuf, color=color, help=help

Examples:

  1. Mask the land with graphics palette 1 (default) on the current seadisp window:
  2. landmask
  3. Mask the land with graphics palette 7 in window #3:
  4. landmask, FBUF=3, COLOR=7
Keywords for all navigable input types:
fbuf Seadisp window number(default is current window).
color 1 to 7 of the SeaDAS graphics palette (default is 1).
help Print out usage message.

Interactive mode:
 

Description:  The Landmask Setup Widget provides an interface for the land masking options. Selecting Setups->Landmask within the Seadisp Display Window Widget will bring up the Landmask Setup Widget.   You do not need to use the setup widget in order to overlay default land mask.  Simply select Functions->Landmask.

Action items:

Options for all navigated files:
Color The color for the land mask.  Click the mouse on the graphics color bar to specify a different color.
Mod Bring up the widget to allow modification of the graphics color hues.  Once modified, the changes will apply to all currently displayed images.
Apply Mode
Replace Graphics Replace all existing graphics in the display window with the land mask graphics.
Overlay Overlay the land mask graphics on top of any existing graphics in the window.
Underlay Place the land mask graphics on top of the image, but underneath all other graphics in the window.
Go Apply the land mask graphics to the current window, using the options above.
Help Show this help file in local HTML viewer.
Quit Exit this widget.  All settings will be retained the next time the land mask setup widget is opened.
