l1aextract_modis

Description: This program extracts a MODIS Level 1A subscene from an input Aqua or Terra L1A and GEO file. The new subscene will contain all the bands that existed in the input L1A file including any high resolution bands. If an output Geolocation file is specified, a Geolocation file corresponding to the new L1A subscene will also be generated, as the original GEO file will not work with the new subscene. The region to be extracted must be specified as a box defined by a southwest corner and northeast corner.

Command Mode:

Usage: l1aextract_modis, ifile="ifile", geofile="geofile", ofile="ofile", outgeo="outgeo", swlat=SWlat, swlon=SWlon, nelat=NElat, nelon=NElon, /wait, /help

Arguments/Keywords:

ifile Input MODIS Aqua or Terra L1A file to be extracted. (Required)

geofile Input MODIS Aqua or Terra Geolocation file. (Required)

ofile Output filename for the L1A extracted subscene. (Required)

outgeo Output filename for the GEO file corresponding to the new L1A subscene. If not specified, then no new corresponding GEO file will be created. (Optional)

swlon Longitude of southwest corner of the box to be extracted. (Required)

swlat Latitude of southwest corner of the box to be extracted. (Required)

nelon Longitude of northeast corner of the box to be extracted. (Required)

nelat Latitude of northeast corner of the box to be extracted. (Required)

wait A keyword, if not set or a value 0 (default), the command will spawn the program as a background process and come back right away for the next SeaDAS command. Otherwise, if the keyword is set or with a value 1, the command will spawn the program as a foreground job and wait for it to complete before the next SeaDAS command can be executed.

The main_widget can be accessed by selecting "l1aextract_modis" from the Process -> MODIS pull down menu in SeaDAS main menu or from the command line mode by typing: "l1aextract_modis".

Input MODIS GEO file Input MODIS Aqua or Terra Geolocation file. (Required)

Output L1A file Output filename for the L1A extracted subscene. (Required)

South-West Corner Latitude Latitude of southwest corner of the box to be extracted.

South-West Corner Longitude Longitude of southwest corner of the box to be extracted.

North-East Corner Latitude Latitude of northeast corner of the box to be extracted.

North-East Corner Longitude Longitude of northeast corner of the box to be extracted.

Select Buttons These buttons display the File Selection Widget for their corresponding input files.

Log file The output file name for the processing log file if the user selects Submit.

Run To start the l1aextract_modis program.

Submit To start and run the l1aextract_modis program as a background process.
