SeaDAS General Plot Font Selection Widget

Description: Select a plot font for a particular application.  Currently only used in the seadisp program by the applications gridlines and color bar functions and under the Utility section to select a default plot font.


Interactive Mode:

Description:  The Font Selection Widget provides a general interface for selecting a plot font.
 
Font Type
Hardware  These are X fonts that are available under the UNIX command xlsfonts.  They are high quality fonts and are not scalable.  Therefore the exact font desired must be specified.  Character size and thickness can not be specified independently.
Vector These are scalable vector-drawn fonts.  They are not as high quality as the hardware fonts, however they are scalable, rotatable and can be used for superscripting and subscripting.  Therefore the character size and thickness may be specified along with the font name.
Fontname Listing This listing gives you the available list of hardware or vector font names.  Click on a font in this list to see what it looks like displayed in the test window.
Font The name of the currently selected hardware or vector font.
Character Size and Thickness These can only be specified for vector fonts.
Help Show this help file in local HTML viewer.
Cancel Do not return the currently selected font to the calling application.
OK Return the currently selected font to the calling application.
