location of SST value within a pixel

Hello,
I am starting to work with MODIS A, Lvl2, SST data in Matlab.
I'be been trying (unsuccessfully) to find information about the location of the SST value
within the 1x1 km pixel.
Can I consider it located at the center? upper left? lower right?

I would need this information to set the MODIS/SST grid into a model grid.

Many thanks in anticipation for any help.
