Hi all,

I've been downloading Level 3 MODIS AQUA/TERRA images via http from your server for a while now with no issues, but lately the images are showing up on my end with 0 filesize.  All images from yesterday (May 21) and today (May 22) have a filesize of 0.

The way I'm downloading is:

I first look for the images from todays date on the ftp server, compile them into a list, then download those images from the http server.

I'm curious what the reason is that the images would show up with 0 filesize. The images look fine on the ftp site, but I can't view them via http, correct?  So, I'm wondering if this is a known issue on your end, if this is potentially a migration issue, or if there is anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future? Do the images show up first on ftp?  Please help me in resolving this matter.

I'm getting a few zero-length files, e.g.,  S2009339.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2 has data in the browser, but downloading from the l3 browser or using wget
gives zero-length files.  Other examples (I haven't checked in the browser):

S2009347.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2
S2009361.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2
S2009364.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2
S2010019.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2
S2010040.L3b_DAY_CHL.main.bz2

The http server on the system went down.  It has been restarted, and a check put in place so that it shouldn't go down unnoticed ...well, unnoticed by us... again

Separate issue from Sam's  post....we're migrating the RAID servers, so if the server containing the data you seek is under the knife, there will be a brief period where the files will resolve as zero length.
This is only temporary.
