Hi,

Could you give me some claifications about the SeaWiFS sun azimuth angle convention ?
Does sun_azimuth = 0 refer to North for 0 < latitude < 90°
                              refer to South for -90 < latitude < 0° ?
Does it exist some documentation about angle convention ?
Thank you very much for your answer

Hi Véronique,

Azimuth is always relative to local North, regardless of the hemisphere.

The calculation is described in "Exact closed-form geolocation algorithm for Earth survey sensors", Patt and Gregg, IJRS Vol. 15 No. 18, 1994.
