Previous Next Up Topic Products and Algorithms / Satellite Data Access / No Extract Possible for MODIS Aqua on SDPS (locked) (1447 hits)

Hello All,

I placed an order on 02/04/2011 for MODIS A for the YEAR 2010, and region specified boundaries.

After downloading the first batch of staged files, I requested the system delete staged files and continue staging the next batch.
For this second batch, I began to see NO EXTRACT POSSIBLE on the order status page for subsequent files.  It ran through the entire rest of the order this way.

As a test, I ran an order on 2/22 for the period surrounding that next batch, roughly Feb of 2010.  These files were extracted properly and the order is staged.
Is it possible the overfilled filesystems mentioned here would cause the extraction routines to return this message/error?  I would put forth that it would.  However the error message is misleading if that is the case, albeit true!  Note the stage date in the orders manager is listed as 02/23/2011 (today).

I'm considering whether to re-order the whole 2010 period, or to just order a month at a time.

ftp://ocdist3.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/40d0b050c64ed943  <-= the order that could not be extracted
ftp://ocdist2.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/703070104161d744  <-= the order for the same region but only February, successfully extracted.

Thank you for your guidance, as always.

Regards to All,
Daniel
