Is NASA planning to continue the seawifs time series of data after the current license expires in Dec 2004?

Will the global GAC data products still be produced?
Will the 1km HRPT station L1a data still be picked up by NASA and processed to MLAC L1 and L2?

chris,
i am not sure that i can provide too much in the way of a definitive answer at this
point but let me just say that at this time, nasa is not in discussion with orbimage
regarding any continuation of the seawifs data buy.  it is our understanding that
orbimage intends to maintain the data stream on their own but the data access
methods, pricing and calibration plans are something that i am not aware of.
the best that i can suggest at this point is to contact orbimage directly at
http://www.orbimage.com
if anything changes or if there is any additional information, i believe that paula
bontempi at nasa headquarters will post a note to the ocean color
mailing list.
regards,
gene
