Announcement: MODISL1DB 1.6 Released

MODISL1DB 1.6 is now available for the MODIS DB community via
http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/seadas/modisl1db/. MODISL1DB
is a MODIS Level-1 Direct Broadcast software package capable of
processing Aqua and Terra Level-0 data to Level-1A and Level-1B.

MODISL1DB 1.6 CHANGES

Supported platforms:

-Linux
-Intel Macintosh OS X 10.5/10.6
-PowerPC Macintosh OS X 10.5

-Added support for Intel Mac OS X 10.6.
-Dropped support for Intel and PowerPC Mac OS X 10.4.
-Dropped support for Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8)

-Updated to Collection 6 l1bgen_modisa and l1bgen_modist programs:

-There is now only one Linux distribution of MODISL1DB. This release has
  been tested on various versions of CentOS, Fedora, and Ubuntu using both
  Intel and AMD processors, and will likely run on most other Linuxes.
  If you encounter problems please let us know.

-MODIS scripts can now be executed concurrently in the same directory
  allowing for processing multiple files at once in one directory.

-The l1asubset_modis binary has been added. This program strips
  non-ocean bands out of Level-1A files for oceans processing. This
  greatly reduces filesize and speeds up processing.

scripts/modis_predicted_atteph.csh - fixed octal bug, ftp timeout now 60

scripts/modis_update_utcpole_leapsec.csh - ftp timeout now 60
