/ convert radiant count to Es and Lt (locked) (2126 hits)

Hi,
Does anyone know how to convert radiant count (e.g. data from seawifs level 1) to Es and Lt? I think they are linearly related.

You can run SeaDAS and output Lt and Es to the Level-2 file.
The relationship between counts and fully calibrated radiances is not a simple one. See background and references listed here:
http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/SeaWiFS/On_Orbit/lcal/
Es requires knowledge of solar path transmittance through the atmosphere.
