After some preliminary tests, it appears SeaDAS is working on the new Mac OS X 10.5.1 Leopard operating system for intel Macs (this includes all GUI and processing functions). Tests were performed using IDL 6.4.1 and IDL 7.0 on a MacBook Pro (IDL versions prior to 6.4.1 will likely not work).
It also appears that Runtime SeaDAS is working with Mac OS X 10.5.1 for Intel Macs. (This means it is not necessary to purchase an IDL license.) Though we haven't tested Runtime SeaDAS on a PowerPC Mac running Leopard, it may also work on this platform and we hope to test this configuration soon.
To install SeaDAS on an Intel Mac running Leopard use the
seadas_mac_osx10.4_intel.tar.gz distribution file, and the
seadas_idl_rt_mac_osx10.5.tar.gz runtime file (installation instructions
here).
To try SeaDAS on a PowerPC Mac running Leopard use the
seadas_mac_osx10.3_ppc.tar.gz distribution file, and the
seadas_idl_rt_mac_osx10.5.tar.gz runtime file (installation instructions
here).
