Could the Select button on the Display widget please be set to point to the default working directory at all times?
If I have two hdf files in a directory: I hit Display to open the first one. I hit Select to open the second one. The Select button is always pointing at whatever directory it last looked at, which is independent of whatever was last opened with Display. This means that sometimes the directory from Select is something entirely irrelevant to whatever I'm trying to look at. And if it happens to look identical (except for timestamps of the files), I end up loading products from a wrong file.
I've lost count of the number of times I've loaded products from a wrong file, and gone through a lengthy series of processing steps with said wrong products before noticing, because I keep forgetting that Select is stupid that way. -.-

This behaviour is by design. Having the Display->Select button default to the last file loaded's directory gives users a mechanism to easily load multiple files in a non-default directory, without having to navigate to that non-default directory over and over again. On the other hand, if you select the Display button on the main SeaDAS GUI window, it will always open the file selection window in the main default working directory. We believe this gives users more utility.
So my suggestion would be that if you select a file in a non-default directory and need to load no other files from that directory, just close that product selection window and use the main Display button again.

The problem is that Select points to whatever was last opened with Select. If I move on to something else, and start the process of opening multiple things by hitting Display again, if I hit Select, it will point to the previous area - not the new area. Can it point to whatever was last opened with Display, instead of whatever was last opened with Select?
