Dear friends,
Does it mandatory to download ATTEPH for geolocating the L1_LAC files in seadas4.9 ? if so please provide me the link to download the files for atleast 2000- Dec2005.
Why the L2bin generation algorithms in seadas 4.9 were not working in GUI ?
How do we derive the SST and chl-a using Seadas4.9 ? I have L1_LAC files with out .GEO
I am getting the following errors Invalid arguement "CHLOC2_wave = []:-E-msl12_input.c line 316 : error reading input parameters {"-E-msl12: error parsing input parameters"}
Please clarify me the above doubts as early as possible

Narayanan,
Yes, it is mandatory to have the ATTEPH files for geolocation. You can ftp the files from oceans.gsfc.nasa.gov by changing directory to the MODISA/ATTEPH directory, then to the desired year and day. The ATTEPH data for MODISA is available for 2002-2006. For Terra, go to the MODIST/ATTEPH directory. Data for MODIST is available for 1997 and 1999-2006.
Not sure what you mean by l2bin algorithms not working in the GUI? Exactly what problems are you having? It should be working.
SST and chlor_a can be derived by processing the data through level 2 with the geolocation, modis_l1bgen, and msl12 programs.
Do not know why you are getting CHLOC2_wave error, would need to see your msl12.par parameter file, or if you are using a script to do the processing, we would need to see that to see the arguments that you are trying to pass into msl12. It would seem from what you say that you are trying to pass a CHLOC2_wave argument into msl12, which is not a valid argument.
