I was under the impression that Terra offered 3 Chlorophyll products (products 14, 26 and 27) that could be downloaded from the DAAC site while AQUA offered one - at least from February 2004. However if I browse through the DAAC site I can see that all of the TERRA products are also available for AQUA. Am I to understand that these AQUA products available on DAAC are provisional and have not been validated yet?

Yes, you are correct, the Aqua Ocean Color products available at the DAAC from Nov 29, 2002 - Feb 2004 are provisional.

The Aqua SST products at the DAAC are validated from Nov 29, 2002 and forward.
