My image processing is stalling because of failed connection to the subscription ftp server.

are there problems with the site?

None that we are aware of.
If the problem persists send an email to our sysadmins (ftpobpg1 at seawifs.gsfc.nasa.gov)
with the time of your attempts to connect and your IP address.

I have many subscriptions, all are telling me "can't establish a connection to the server at oceans.gsfc.nasa.gov" both in script and in the subscription manager,
