Need to generate L3bin images from L2bin images

Hi:

I am trying to generate L3 binned files from L2 files, using L2bin of SeaDas for Windows, but it has been impossible for me to do that. I select the source file, and the system indicates that it is generating the new L3 binned file, but nothing happens, and there is no new file into the location I indicate the system to put it on.

I am not sure if the source file is the right file, so I put here two examples: A2006137211000.L2_LAC_SST.x.hdf
Neither with this one: A2006172200500.L2_LAC_SST.

Help me please, I have been fighting with it so many weeks.

Janitzio,

Try using the l2bin binary directly - NOT in the SeaDAS GUI
Within a terminal window, type l2bin at the prompt to see the usage statement
Craft a command line to produce the output as you desire. Something like this
might work for you:

l2bin infile=A2006172200500.L2_LAC_SST ofile=A2006172200500.L3b prodtype=regional resolve=4

Thank you very much for your answer. I tried to do what you did advice me, but the terminal bring me the message: "l2bin: command not found". I am not sure if I have not the complete program or what is happening.

Janitzio,

Have you installed the processing code? The SeaDAS VA is distributed without the processing code to conserve space.
