Dear sir,
I need automatic script to determine the minimum, maximum and mean of the location identified on satellite imagery (HDF format) for particular geographical coordinate.

Have you tried installing SeaDAS (http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/seadas/)?
That package contains probably the most complete suite of functions
for working with the data from our archive that you will find anywhere.
