*** /home/seadas/seadas/run/bin3/ncdump: ncopen failed on /mnt/hgfs/seadas_shared-3/20090421/T2009111032500.L1A_LACi

Check to make sure the path to the input L1A file is correct.
The error you are showing suggests that it is not.  The filename seems to have extra characters appended to it:

> ncopen failed on /mnt/hgfs/seadas_shared-3/20090421/T2009111032500.L1A_LACi

The"i" should not be there...this is preventing the process from continuing.

Make sure you're installation is updated to version 6.2 Update 2a

thanks for your advice,
but for virsual application,Virtual Machine update requires downloading the updated self-extracting executable,I wonder does this self-extracting executable has the same function as the others who updated to the update02,eg. update_02_linux? or after I install this self-extracting executable,I also have to install the update02?

thanks,
regards

Applying a SeaDAS updated on the virtual appliance is exactly the same as for the non-VM systems.
Grab the appropriate update(s) and apply them WITHIN the VM following the instructions provided.
For the VM you will need the 32bit linux versions - if an update is platform specific.

sean,
    thanks a lot
I have download the updates and going to update to the newest version.

by the way ,now, with the seadasva6.2,when I want to generate L2 level product form L1B,using the l2gen,the ancillary files cannot download with the following prompt:
getanc: ERROR: The display_ancillary_files.cgi script encountered an error and returned the following text:
but there is no other text in the terminal window

can you give me some tips? or just update to the newest version and all these can be solved?

That error seems to occur when there is an http connection error.
It is usually an intermittent problem, so try again.  If the problem
persists, please provide the date and time of your attempt as well
as the name of the file you were attempting to process.

Regards,
Sean
