I downloaded a while ago (August 2009) the chlorophyll product from Modis and the file had the extension ".L3m_MO_CHLO_4". Now when I want to download the latest data (on http://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/MODISA/Mapped/Monthly/4km/chlor/) the data files have the extension ".L3m_MO_CHL_chlor_a_4km". For some reason the chlorophyll concentration from the first set of data I downloaded (a while ago..) are different than those that are now available on the oceandata website (that is when comparing the same year of course). Is there any explanations for this?

thanks for your help,

Cecile.
