Previous Next Up Topic Products and Algorithms / Satellite Data Access / MODIS Aqua: 3-day composites before April 10th, 2010 (locked) (3586 hits)

The 3-day composites for the level-3 MODIS Aqua standard products are not available before April 10th, 2010 in the Level-3 Browser.
Is that a new composite that was not available before that and is the composite expected to be continued in the future?

Thank you for your time,
Iliyana

Iliyana,

The 3-day composites are offered as a convenience
but are not really part of our standard set of distributed
products.  When the Aqua-MODIS data were reprocessed,
it was decided not to regenerate 3-day composites for the
historical data.  Production of 3-day products in the
"forward stream" will continue for the foreseeable future.

You can always make 3-day composites yourself from
the daily composites using SeaDAS.

Regards,

Norman
