Sensor Data Files

Sensor Band-Pass Information (msl12_sensor_info.dat)

MSl12 makes use of external data files containing band-averaged quantities specific to the individual sensor response functions. The sensor files also provide a convenient place to store the nominal band center wavelengths. The standard sensor files used by MSL12 are listed below.

    MSL12 Default Parameter File (msl12_defaults.par)

    Each sensor which MSl12 supports has a predefined set of standard parameters.These parameters are provided in the msl12_defaults.par files, as listed below. MSl12 always reads the defaults file first, to initialize the processing. Any parameters specified on the commandline, either directly or via a user supplied parameter file, will over-ride the values specified in msl12_defaults.par.

    Filter Description File (msl12_filter.dat)

    MSl12 has the ability to apply certain smoothing and flag dilation filters. Each sensor can be provided with a default msl12_filter.dat file which controls the filters to be applied. more to come
